Q1. What is an elastic reflective armband / ankle band?
It is a high-stretch elastic band with a silver retroreflective strip attached by sewing or heat transfer. One band can be worn in several positions, including the arm, wrist, ankle, or calf. It is ideal for running, cycling, dog walking, commuting, and other outdoor activities in low-light or nighttime environments.
Q2. Which wearing position gives the best visibility?
Ankle and calf placement usually provides the strongest nighttime visibility because vehicle headlights are aimed low and can illuminate ankle-level reflectors earlier. Arm and wrist placement is also effective because moving limbs create a flashing visual effect that helps attract driver attention. For maximum 360-degree visibility, we recommend wearing bands on both arms and both legs.
Q3. What base colors are available?
Standard stock colors are Fluorescent Yellow, Fluorescent Orange, and Black. These colors are available without custom-color MOQ requirements. For bulk orders, Pantone-matched custom colors can be produced. Silver reflective strip is the standard option across all color variants.
Q4. Should I choose sew-on or heat-transfer reflective strips?
Sew-on reflective strips offer greater wash durability and are recommended for products that will be washed frequently or used in workwear-type applications. Heat transfer creates a cleaner, flatter finish and is suitable when a smooth appearance is the priority. We can recommend the best method based on the intended use, wash requirements, and target price point.
Q5. What sizes are available?
The elastic structure provides a one-size-fits-most solution for adults. Width can be customized from 25 mm to 75 mm, and circumference can be adjusted for bulk orders. Shorter circumferences are available for kids’ sizes.
Q6. Can the elastic reflective band be machine washed?
Yes. We recommend gentle machine washing at 30-40°C with mild detergent. Avoid bleach and high-heat drying. Air drying is recommended to help protect the elasticity of the band and the bonding strength of the reflective strip.
